Parts Clerk 2

SUMMARY
Current opening within the TICO Parts Distribution Center for a Parts Clerk 2, where a successful candidate will perform a variety of basic warehousing, picking, shipping, and receiving tasks. Physically moving material within a warehouse environment by carrying, pushing, rolling or operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, or other material handling equipment. Verify all materials received are as ordered and routes incoming items to their appropriate BIN locations. Prepare items for shipment as requested by Sales team; ensuring all material is packaged properly to prevent transit damage, dimensions and weight accounted for properly, and overall presentation of goods being shipped.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives and unloads incoming materials; comparing information on packing slip with purchase order to verify the accuracy of shipment and report discrepancies to Management.
Sorts, counts, packages, labels, verifies count, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.
Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages via TICO OS&D policy and notifies the manager and/or purchasing personnel.
Works directly with the PDC Manager, Accounting, Buyers, and Vendors, to resolve receiving discrepancies.
Data entry of departmental receiving/shipping into Solomon/Dynamics SL computer software, prepare routine reports and file shipping/receiving records.
Maintains a clean and organized workplace, including ensuring the warehouse is properly presented.
Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and all safety regulations.
Participate in the annual physical inventory of parts and equipment.
Conduct physical cycle counts on parts and equipment as required.
Other duties as assigned by Management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum two-years prior working knowledge of warehouse processes, order receiving, material storage/presentation, and order picking.
Minimum of one-year shipment packaging experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Capable of fluently speaking, reading, and writing the English language.
Good interpersonal and external communications skills are needed to work with other employees, management, customers, and vendors.
REASONING ABILITY
The ability to quickly diagnose the source of a problem requires good reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding when carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Strong problem-solving skills are required, as well as the ability to use a diagnostic approach to troubleshoot and resolve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to be exact or accurate in the completion of work is required.
Ability to complete tasks with little supervision and make appropriate business decisions on the fly.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Mathematics are frequently required to perform calculations using basic arithmetic.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
Ability to perform these computations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals using units of currency (USD), standard and metric measurements.
COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE
Basic computer skills and internet experience a must (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Solomon and/or Dynamics or Epicor software experience is a plus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current/valid drivers license is a must.
Ability to obtain OSHA certified forklift license (training and testing provided).
Maintain all certifications required by OSHA and Company safety programs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
