Parts Illustrator

TICO is an equipment solutions company that has been in business since 1946. TICO owns and operates a fleet of over 1500 terminal tractors and trailers deployed in major U.S. ports. Our company is a well-established Terminal Tractor leasing company looking for a Parts Illustrator. Pay is commensurate on your experience. At a minimum, applicants should have basic required qualifications.

  • Compile parts drawings and associated parts indexes to combine and/or design parts pages for publication into a parts book utilizing Excel, Adobe, and 3D Solid works CAD system software.
  • Assist Parts Book team in completing parts books and/or parts drawings for TICO Pro-Spotters and service related issues.
  • With assistance from Lead Parts Illustrator, ensure key quality expectations are satisfied including customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, timely execution, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • The position directly affects aftermarket part sales through the development of accurate and detailed parts book information.
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, continuous quality improvement objectives, and all safety regulations.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two-year certificate or degree in computer-aided drafting/design related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in technical 3D illustrating and/or computer graphics, familiarity with engineering documentation and broad product knowledge.
  • Mechanical and/or automotive design experience a plus.
  • Background in manufacturing a plus.
  • Advanced computer skills and Internet experience a must; Excel, Word, Outlook, and CAD Software.
  • Working knowledge of 3D Solid works or similar CAD system software experience is required.
  • Current/valid drivers license.
  • Willing to work overtime occasionally, as needed to meet deadlines. Willing to cooperate in departmental workload changes. Willing to attend continuing education courses as required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
